We’ll let the gravity of that set in… • • Last night, a kind-hearted family was on I75, a freeway here in MI, and saw a pillowcase thrown from a car window a few vehicles in front of them. The action seemed odd, so they pulled over and noticed the pillowcase was moving… They found Little Girl, and not knowing what else to do, they took her home. • • It became clear quickly that she was having a hard time with one of her back legs, n and the family’s 8 year old daughter slept next to her all night, keeping careful watch over the helpless soul who had been so callously mistreated. In the morning, they called us at Just Cats to see if we could help, and of course, we couldn’t say no. • • We reached out to our amazing vet clinic, Jordan Valley Animal Clinic in East Jordan MI, and they took her in to be examined. We found out that she has a broken hip joint, and although we got hugely discounted rate for the surgery, it is still an extreme expense for our small, entirely donation based rescue. The family who found Little Girl hopes to adopt her once she's healed, but we need to get her out of the woods first! • • Little Girl has been given pain medication and will be undergoing surgery tomorrow, so we humbly, yet desperately come to you asking for help.
