Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is the largest state park in California. It has five hundred miles of dirt roads and 12 wilderness areas. Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is very unusual. Throughout the State Park there are about 130 metal statues that you can drive to and see. It has beautiful slot canyons, palm oasis, spring wildflowers, and amazing badlands. • Around this area there use to live Native Americans so throughout the park you can see petroglyphs and old villages. If you are lucky, you may see the endangered Peninsular bighorn sheep (we did not unfortunately).
