Visit http://bikebook.si • S07E04 - How to remove the rubber handlebar grips • • S07E04 - How to remove the rubber han... • Hello everyone. • Most bikers, including us, prefer lock-on grips, but here and there we come across a bike that still has classic rubber grips. • There is almost always a problem with them slipping and sliding on the handlebar. • Here is a neat trick to stop them from slipping. • Use a hairspray of any kind. Spray inside the grip and on the handlebar. You should be able to easily slide them on, while still wet. • Wait over night and the grips should be stuck in place.
