Hey guys welcome to Margam Park Civil War Experience! As I need to take it easy for a little while I thought I would bring you something different here on the channel. I've traded Funfairs and theme parks for a civil war experience in Margam Country Park bought to you by the Sealed Knot which is the largest re-enactment organisation in Europe. Join us as we discover what life was like during this era, from civilians, camp life and the life of a soldier. Discover how clothes were made, marzipan and learn about all the different types of jobs that people had in and around the village. Not only could you experience the scent of wood burning fires and the hussle and bussle of camp life but you could also join in. Maybe try on some soldier armour or maybe join in a traditional soldier drill with spear in hand. Witness jousting, how soldiers formed defensive lines on the battle field and here the shots of musket fire and cannon fire too! At the end of the day we were treated to a full scale re-enactment of a battle in the field which incorporates everything we saw that day. Horses, soldiers, spears, cannon fire, musket fire and 100s of battle ready soldiers. What a fantastic day we had and definitely something different. We thought it was well worth the entrance fee for what we took that day and will definitely be heading down to experience it again soon!
