Quick guide to removing the Air Induction System from your Yamaha Dragstar XVS650A Classic - Can be applied to other versions of this bike. This is a stand alone video and you can run the bike, with the marble addition (see video), as is! • The second video can be found here: • Yamaha Dragstar 650 - Air Induction S... • The Air Induction System (AIS) is an emissions control unit to pump air into the exhaust, in order to burn off un-used fuel. The unit itself actually increases fuel consumption and raises the running temperature of the engine and exhaust (creating the blueing that you may see in older bikes). This is neither good for the engine or for the environment, as its a bodge job to get round certain states and countries emissions laws for import. • You can disable it but in the UK its fine to remove it, as it will still pass the MOT. • If you undertake this job I advise that you use a skilled mechanic and can not be held responsible for any negative consequences. • All elements of the video was created by myself for this channel, I own all rights to content!
