This BenQ W6000 was sent in with a fan warning/fan lock error. Upon further diagnosis, I found that an old lamp assembly had burst and showered the inside with quartz glass bits. This is a common issue with many projectors. The piece of glass found its way down the air vent into the back of the lamp blower fan. Since these fans are low torque, it jammed the fan. • See the bookmarks below to jump around in the video.
