How I installed the Phase 5 EBRv3 (Extended Bolt Release, version 3). It allows you to lock open or release the bolt from the AR's right side, like the Magpul B.A.D Lever. Since it's a single piece of steel (bolt release + lever) that replaces the stock bolt release, it's stronger than the B.A.D. Lever. Installation is easy and worth the effort for greater strength and stability compared to the B.A.D Lever, which simply bolts onto the existing bolt release. Some consider an extended bolt release a must-have upgrade, especially for malfunction clearances in a tactical situation.
