Please note: This film features testimony that highlights the fishing industry at the time of filming and the historic Emsworth oyster industry. All individuals were filmed in good faith about their role within the industry. • Emsworth, located on the south coast of England in the county of Hampshire, once played a prominent role in the UK's oyster industry. It was renowned for producing the best oysters and in impressive quantity. • Following a high-profile disaster in 1902, the harbour, and its industry, closed almost overnight. • Seventy years later, attempts were made to revive the industry and bring oysters back to Emsworth. The attempts were successful and once again Emsworth had an oyster industry to be proud of. • This documentary follows the demise and the revival of the industry.
