This unit has some similarities to the Panasonic Toughbook CF-53 or CF-54. The tenth feature on this list is the military standard rating and the IP rating. This unit has a MIL-STD-810 and was rated an IP53. The number nine feature of this unit is that there is a webcam on the screen and it has a little door to cover it when you are not using it. This is so there is no need to tape over it. The eighth top feature of the S14i is the stylus that comes with the unit. I have a nice slot on the side of the laptop for the stylus to slide into so it's out of the way and it's not clipping into a plastic holder. Feature number seven is the touchscreen on this unit. It is finger, glove, and wet hand capable. The sixth top feature of this Durabook is that it is upgradeable. It can hold a CD-ROM, a DVD drive, or an extra battery. The fifth feature of the S14i is how stiff the hinge is on the screen. With other manufacturers, something simple like stopping and going in a car could cause the screen to no to be as studied later in the life of the unit. Feature number four on this countdown is the battery on the S14i. It comes with a battery life of 10 hours and it is also hot-swappable. You don't have to turn the unit off in order to change the battery. Closing out the top three in this list is the screen. It is a 14-inch screen and comes with a 1000 NIT sunlight readable screen. It is a touch screen that you can use with gloves, wet hands, a stylus, or just a finger. The second best feature of the S14i is the keyboard. The keyboard has a nice quality and feels when the keys are being pressed down. It has a back-lit keyboard and there is some great protection between the keys that will help keep dirt and grime from getting underneath the keys. The best feature of the Durabook S14i is the programmable keys available. There are two P keys that you can program to do whatever you need.
