Google's Pixel 9 Pro Fold is launching on August 13 and ahead of my unboxing and review, here's a look at those leaked specs and Gemini features. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold boasts a few upgrades vs the first Fold phone, including Tensor G4 performance and a slimmer design. However, will the camera tech and battery life be improved at all? And is it a solid rival to the Samsung Galaxy Fold 6? • Well, most of this Google foldable's official specs have gone well beyond rumour now, so there's not many surprises left for launch day. We know that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will sport different camera hardware to the other 9 series phones. And in fact those sensors sound suspiciously similar to the old Fold. • Gamers will hopefully be satisfied by the Tensor G4, as long as it doesn't get toasty under duress. It's a respectable boost to performance vs the G2 from that original. The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold should also hopefully improve the battery life, despite its more slender build. Here's hoping for at least a 4800mAh cell again, with efficiency improvements on top. • Sadly the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will come boxed with Android 14, but that should get updated to Android 15 very shortly.
