This program, which includes a selection of continents, composers, and styles, reflects the virtuosity and variety of music composed for and performed on the harpsichord and bassoon during this period. Kathryn Cok and Wouter Verschuren will introduce the program and highlight some of the lesser-known composers and pieces. • View the program: https://gemsny.org/programs/Duo-Cok-V... • 0:00 Opening credits • 0:28 Sonata in F minor, TWV 41:f1 (Georg Philipp Telemann (1681–1767)) • Triste ~ Allegro ~ Andante ~ Vivace • 11:01 Remarks • 13:06 Sonata in D minor, Op. 1, No. 9 (George Frideric Handel (1685–1759)) • Largo ~ Vivace ~ Presto ~ Adagio ~ Alla breve • 22:45 Fantasie Fuga, BWV 904 (Johann Sebastian Bach (1685–1750)) • 32:26 Duetto in G minor (Christoph Schaffrath (1709–1763)) • Andante ~ Allegro assai ~ Allegro • 42:20 Encore • Artist Websites: • https://kathryncok.com/ • https://wouterverschuren.com/ • Join our mailing list: http://eepurl.com/hfY_aD • More Info: https://gemsny.org/midtown-concerts
