Installing Interior window trim (casing). Follow along as I show you step by step how to trim out a window! First we begin the process by selecting lumber at the big box store and then we head home to measure up the windows so we can start building the extension jambs. • After the extension jambs are installed, I fill the voids with expanding foam to seal out any drafts. Watch for the Pro-Tip to make your project go a little smoother. • Next, on to making the window casing. I router the edges for a smooth look, rip a thin transition piece for the top casing and cut a 22 degree bevel on the window apron (piece below the window sill).
