Here's what you need to know about the new 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500! • We already know that GM has been planning a significant refresh of its light duty pickups, both the Silverado and the Sierra. So it makes sense that test mules are being spotted by its testing facilities. • GMAuthority reported that the changes will involve a refreshed exterior and interior, along with a new tailgate and several other updates. • The prototype of the refreshed truck is wearing a significant amount of camouflage that covers the front fascia, hood, front fenders, box, and the entire rear end, including the rear fenders, tailgate and taillights. • Up front, it appears that the 2022 Chevy Silverado will get an all-new fascia that adopts the latest iteration of the two-tiered lighting setup, as seen on models like the 2020 and newer Silverado HD as well as 2019 and newer Blazer. The camo makes it difficult to see exactly in which direction the new pickup will go, but it’s clear that the new design will feature a thin LED accent and daytime running light (DRL) at the top of the fascia, followed by a primary headlight element mounted below. • The cab remains untouched, as evidenced by a lack of camo on this Extended Cab model. Moving towards the rear, it would seem that the 2022 Chevy Silverado will include an integrated BedStep adopted from GM’s 2020 model-year Heavy Duty trucks. • Now we do see that the tailgate is fully camouflaged, and we can go ahead and assume at this point that the Multipro tailgate from the GMC Sierra will be transitioning over to the Silverado lineup and called the MultiFlex tailgate. GM Authority sources also state that the Multi-Flex could feature improvements over the MultiPro, either in functionality or by introducing a seventh position. • GMAuthority also says It’s worth noting that the camo around the box could be concealing a carbon-composite bed. The same bed that’s offered on the Sierra as the GMC CarbonPro. A new set of taillights is also expected as part of the mid-cycle update. • Additionally, it appears as though the refreshed 2022 Silverado will also feature a beefier rear suspension setup. • The current generation Chevrolet Silverado 1500 comes equipped with a leaf spring configuration with two leaves (elliptical springs) on the rear axle, which doesn’t change, even when adding in the Max Towing Package. • Recent spy photos however, show some 2022 Silverado prototypes are equipped with four-leaf rear suspension, which suggesting that the upcoming refresh will offer a more robust, heavy-duty suspension system. This could point to greater towing and payload ratings for the pickup, as well as having improved ride quality. • Find out more by watching this video! • Sources: • https://gmauthority.com/blog/2020/08/... • https://gmauthority.com/blog/2020/11/... • https://www.autoblog.com/2020/10/15/2... • #brianmello #martysbuickgmc #2022chevysilverado • 0:00 Introduction • 0:15 Exterior Spy Photo Analysis • 2:03 Chevy MultiFlex Tailgate CarbonPro Bed • 3:20 Suspension Upgrades • 4:07 Interior Spy Shots BIGGER SCREEN Google! • 6:20 GM SuperCruise Auto-Pilot • 8:36 Final Thoughts Closing • Update -    • New 2022 Silverado   Sierra - Bad New...
