Turgor • it is a process of swelling of a cell due to hypotonic solution by the help of endosmosis. When a plant cell is surrounded by water or hypotonic solution, the water move into the cell vacuole through osmosis. the vacuole increase in size and pushes the cell contents against the cell wall. the pushes or pressure is exerted by the cytoplasm against the cell wall is known as turgor pressure. the process or phenomenon is called as turgor. the cell became swelled and is called as turgid.
