#ivanacaraadoketa #Pristella #maxillaris • Adoketa • Inhabits rainforest streams and minor tributaries during the dry season, the dense canopy of branches above meaning very little light penetrates the water surface with marginalvegetation also tending to grow thickly. The water itself is typically stained dark brown with humic acids and other chemicals released by decaying organic material. The dissolved mineral content is generally negligible, and the pH can be as low as 3.0 or 4.0. The substrate is usually littered with fallen leaves, branches and submerged tree roots. • The Zebra acara is a species of cichlid from Rio Uaupes and Rio Preto, two side rivers of Rio Negro in Brazil. This species can reach a length of 10 centimetres TL. This species prefers a pH between 4.5 and 6.0, and a temperature between 22 and 28 °C. • Pristella maxillaris • Pristella maxillaris, the only species in the genus Pristella, is commonly known as the X-ray fish or X-ray tetra because of its translucent body. It is a widely distributed and adaptable fish, found in the Amazon and Orinoco basins, as well as coastal rivers in the Guianas in both acidic and alkaline waters.
