Brick Barker is a big selfish powerhouse who bullies Lucien more than Wayne ever did. When Wayne realises, he decides to out-bully Brick and prove himself. But Wayne steps on Brick’s shoelace he quickly finds himself on the wrong end of the attack. He decides to take a different tack and become Brick’s friend. Brick is delighted. He’s never had a friend. But Brick plays so rough that being his friend is more like being his victim. Wayne tries to tough it out and Lucien tries to figure out what makes Brick tick. Lucien thinks Brick is ashamed of his tiny father. He convinces Wayne to confront him and help him to face his inner shame. But Lucien’s theories are wrong and Wayne is only saved by Brick’s bigger meaner sister turning up.
