Located in Bienville Parish near the town of Arcadia, the highest point in the state of Louisiana has an elevation of 535 feet. It is in the North Central Uplands of the state. It is in a rural, quiet part of the state, but that hasn’t always been the case. One morning in May 1934 gunfire shattered the calm as outlaws Bonnie and Clyde met their end in an ambush by law enforcement.
