DIY | HOW TO MAKE A PIGGY BANK - CARDBOARD CRAFTS (DIY Alkansya) • Using a piggy bank is an easy way to teach our kids about money management. It also teaches them another valuable lesson when we used things that we already have to make our own coin bank, hence for the video. I used this opportunity to teach my kid about recycling and saving. • So I made a letter-shaped coin bank for my son for the saving challenge this 2020 using a cardboard and an old clear folder. The size of the letter is 20x23cm. I drew the letter on the cardboard and cut it. I made three pieces since the one that I'm using is quite flimsy. You can use whatever kind of cardboard you prefer, but I would suggests to use a thicker one to save yourself from cutting. You will also be needing a clear plastic sheet which will serve as the front part or window of the coin bank. I used an old clear folder for this. To cover the letter I took a brown bag, the one that we use in the grocery store. I glued the brown bag using white glue with water. • I made a mistake of using glue to attached the plastic sheet thinking that it would actually adhere but unfortunately it didn't worked well so I had to redo it again using a glue gun. So there you go.
