A playthrough of Hudson's 1993 NES game, Bomberman II. • Played through the entire normal mode single-player game. • Giving an excellent coat of paint to the original formula, Bomberman II certainly doesn't prioritize innovation, but the graphics and sound make for a fair amount more entertainment. The digitized instruments and explosion sounds add a lot of punch to the already catchy (annoyingly so) soundtrack and sound great on the NES, and the sprite style adopted from the TG16 series works quite well here. The game play is Bomberman - nothing more, nothing less.
