Today, I’ll be demonstrating the use of Meguiar’s hybrid ceramic spray wax. The best thing to remember is not to use too much. A few light sprays on each panel is sufficient. If you use too much, you’re more likely to see streaking. • It isn’t recommended you use ceramic spray wax on glass, but any overspray can be removed by rinsing it thoroughly. Hybrid ceramic wax can be used on matte finishes with great results as long as you follow directions and again, don’t use too much. • If you’re applying this wax for the first time, wash your vehicle like you normally would to remove any loose contaminants. If you encounter any stuck-on contaminants, you may need to use a clay bar to completely remove them. The better you prepare the surface of your vehicle, the better the results will be. • Once the vehicle is washed and rinsed, before you dry it… establish a base layer of wax by spraying it across all exterior surfaces. Once each panel is thoroughly sprayed, use a microfiber towel to dry them. Using the microfiber towel will ensure that you’ve worked the wax into all the harder-to-reach spots, and creates a base layer that additional applications can add to. • Once the base layer of ceramic wax has been applied, the process changes. Additional layers should be added in the washing process after the wash and rinse. So after thoroughly washing and rinsing your vehicle, spray ceramic wax on all the panels. Use a strong stream of water to give it one final rinse… then dry it thoroughly with a microfiber towel. • If you happen to wait too long between waxing, rinsing, and drying, the product may leave streaks. If this happens, wipe the area with a dampened microfiber towel or mist it with water and then wipe it down. • You can still wax your vehicle over the top of spray-on ceramic wax like normal, or use spray ceramic wax any time you detail your vehicle to maintain a longer-lasting layer of protection. Washing is the only maintenance needed to keep your ceramic wax coating looking new for up to two years.
