We developed a technique called the articular cartilage paste graft about 20 years ago. Now that uses your own bone, cartilage, and stem cells to create repair tissue over that damaged surface articular cartilage paste, grafting involves harvesting articular cartilage, bone, and stem cells from inside the knee, making it into a paste and grafting and onto the damaged part of the articular surface inside your joints.
