This strong beeping transmission on 6282 kHz USB is a NATO asset (likely a military ship) using a tactical data link mode called Link-11. • According to Wikipedia, TADIL-A/Link 11 is a secure half-duplex tactical data link used by NATO to exchange digital data. It was originally developed by a joint committee including members from the Canadian Navy, US Navy and Royal Navy to pass accurate targeting information between ships. (...) The system broadcasts packets of 30 bits length, with 6 bits of error correction and 24 bits of payload data. The payload is encrypted. • CLEW, meanwhile, means a conventional waveform, consisting of 16 DQPSK tones, each carrying 75bd of data. This is opposed to SLEW, or single-tone waveform, which is a single 2400-bd 8-PSK data stream. • More information on this digital mode can be found at: • https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIL-STD... • https://www.sigidwiki.com/wiki/Link-11 • Received at 09:06 UTC March 16th, 2022 in NE Poland using an Airspy HF+ Discovery 12x4.5m MW KAZ antenna beaming @ ~290deg.
