How to Transition From the Military to a Civilian Job • In this video, I discuss how to prepare for your military retirement or separation and back into civilian life. The DoD Skillbridge Internship program is a great opportunity for military members in all branches: Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, and even the few members in the Space Force to transition into the Civilian workforce by participating in a paid internship program called the DoD Skillbridge Program. I will transition out of Active Duty Air Force Security Forces into the Air Force Reserves, 13 June 2021 but will participate in this internship program from January - June 2021 not to exceed 180 days. This program allows you to intern with any industry provider/employer of your choosing to gain the essential skills and work experience needed to thrive in your civilian career. During this 6 month internship, you will still receive full pay and benefits from the Department of Defense up until your separation date/class date.
