For another installment of plantain balls I bring to you Bolón de Verde with chicharron chorizo • INGREDIENTS: • 3 green plantains • Chicharron • ½ lb of chorizo • 4oz of shredded cheese • Salt to taste • 3-4 tbsp of butter • 2 cups of oil for frying • CHICHARRON: • 1- 1.5 lb of pork belly • 1/2 tbsp peppercorns • 2 bay leaves • 6 cloves of garlic • 2 tbsp salt • 2 cups oil for frying • cover and boil 1 hour, pat dry, then place in fridge uncovered to air dry overnight • shallow fry for 8 minutes on each side • #plantain #platano #ecuador #latinos #easyrecipe
