How To Troubleshoot an ASCO Solenoid Valve

I'm here to do a How To Video on an ASCO solenoid valve coil. The first thing we need to do is check what the voltage is. Here on the coil, it describes 120V AC. We're going to test the voltage • to make sure it operates. • So you can see we have approximately 120V. We heard the pop indicating that the valve is operating. Now we're going to test the resistance of the coil to tell us what kind of condition it's in. • So we connect our multimeter or O-meter to the leads. As the technical support told us that the resistance for this particular coil is 210Ω plus or minus 5%. So we're within the tolerance. • So this coil is good. If it was outside of that range, there's potential problems with the coil • and it should be replaced. If you measure the resistance and goes to infinity, then more likely the coil's burnt out and you need to replace it. • For all your ASCO Valve needs call us at (855) 737-4714 or visit https://www.valin.com. • #valincorporation #howto #solenoidvalve
