Chinese Type 75 Geiger Counter Unboxing and review, the Chinese PLA Type 75 Geiger counter uses a single GM tube to measure between 0-200 Roentgen per hour. The unit is optimised for measuring Gamma radiation, most likely calibrated on a Cobalt-60 check source however the unit contains a massive Sr-90 check source which probably measured around 2 Roentgen per hour+ of Beta radiation in the 1970s when the unit was assembled. • This came with a leather carry case, an instruction/service booklet and the unit itself. The Sr-90 is inside a box within the Geiger and is exposed with a button press, this source generates x-rays through braking radiation.
