A Good Job Well Done • ~ • Valor is an insane demon megacollab hosted by Megaman9 on the old Geometry Dash Forums, with the gimmick of having every creator come from the United States. It's a decent 2.0 level, I wouldn't say it has much going for it thanks to its self limitations on its roster, and there is little to no cohesion here. But with the noticeable quality drops and aesthetic changes all over the place, you can tell that they built this all for fun, and so it wouldn't feel fair to judge it very much. Regardless, there's still some pretty good ideas here. I like the use of colour in KrmaL's part to match the American flag, the stormy skies in TheDevon, and Asriel, as always, having some of the smoothest gameplay in all of 2.0. • Like the level's quality itself, the playing experience is a mixed bag. It's fun, but it has its issues, most noticeably in the transitions, and the balancing is a bit of a mess. Final thoughts are that...well it's playable. • But I think what's more interesting to be said about this level, would be the history and connections that it has to its sequels. This is the first level in a series of Pokemon Go levels, each named and themed after the teams that appear in the game. This one is supposedly themed after team Valor, but I have a suspicion that this might not be true at all. it has to do with the game's release date; Pokemon Go released in the midst of 2016, but the description claims that the majority of this level was finished in 2015. There’s also the fact that there’s no apparent team theme in this level at all, unlike its successors. I don't know for sure what happened, but my guess would be that the level was initially named Valor to be patriotic and fit in with the American theme. And when ideas for a sequel came up, they decided to retcon the name and theme of this level, to use the Pokemon Go teams as inspiration for the rest of the series. • So, with my theory, I actually contacted Megaman out of curiosity to find out. And as it so happens, I was right. Valor was named as such by suggestion of someone else because the word “Valor” sounded similar to its song name, “Vigor”. • And now it all makes sense! • • Total Attempts: 1033 • Thumbnail Artist: ‪@Zerex‬ • I do not own ANY songs used in this video. • AeronMusic - Vigor: https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/list... • Kevin Penkin - In The Blind: https://open.spotify.com/track/2qD128... • I do not own the art in my main menu either! I was unsure on how to contact the artist, but here's their DeviantArt post: https://www.deviantart.com/erikshoema...
