Minute steak lives up to its name as it is fast and easy. The outcome, of course, depends on the cut of meat used. I have used round steak, and it has produced some fairly decent results. Obviously, you will have best results if you use a sirloin or another decent cut of beef. Actually, the tenderness comes from the pounding or swissing of the steak. I just use a common meat tenderizer and pound the steak for about 3 minutes, or until it's about a quarter of an inch thick. When doing this, I place the steak in a Ziploc bag or rap it in Saran wrap. This is not entirely necessary, but it does maintain the integrity of the meat.
