Excavators being used as side booms

We are using 3 excavators a 47t hitachi a 35t hitachi and a 30t komatsu all fitted with pipe cradles to lower a 500mm diameter steel gas main into a 2m deep trench.This pipe is in one length which is made up of about 25 pipes that are 16m in length.Tthat makes our one pipe 400m long.Tthe pipes have been welded together, every weld has been x-rayed and the welds have been coated.As the pipe is lowered into the ground the protective coating gets spark tested to make sure there is no damage to the coating. • • • • • • • • • • • • I created this video with the YouTube Video Editor ( / editor )
