Bihari Qeema | Easy Quick Keema Recipe | بہاری قیمہ • • Behari Keema is a traditional South Asian dish originating from the Bihar region, celebrated for its bold flavors and smoky aroma. This dish is made with minced meat, usually beef or mutton, marinated in a mixture of yogurt, mustard oil, and a blend of aromatic spices like ginger, garlic, garam masala, and red chili powder. The marination allows the meat to absorb the flavors deeply. It is then slow-cooked until tender, resulting in a rich, flavorful keema with a unique smokiness, often achieved by using a coal-smoking technique. • Served with naan, paratha, or steamed rice, Behari Keema is a comfort food that showcases the essence of traditional Bihari cuisine. • Behari Keema Recipe • Ingredients: • Minced meat (beef or mutton) – 500g • Yogurt – 3 tbsp • Mustard oil – 3 tbsp • Ginger paste – 1 tbsp • Garlic paste – 1 tbsp • Fried onion (crushed) – 3 tbsp • Red chili powder – 1 tsp • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp • Coriander powder – 1 tsp • Cumin powder – 1 tsp • Garam masala powder – 1 tsp • Raw papaya paste (optional, for tenderizing) – 1 tbsp • Lemon juice – 2 tbsp • Charcoal – 1 piece (for smoking) • Salt – to taste • Green chilies (sliced) – 2-3 • Fresh coriander leaves (chopped) – for garnish • • --- • Instructions: • 1. Marination: • In a bowl, combine yogurt, mustard oil, ginger-garlic paste, fried onion, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, raw papaya paste (if using), lemon juice, and salt.
