Finch Sale May 2021 Queensland Finch Society

Finch Sale hosted by the Queensland Finch Society in May 2021. With COVID restrictions in Australia easing, it's nice to get back to a bird sale after 12-18mths. Lots of finches for sale, and I was suprised by the number of Gouldians on display for this time of the year. Also for sale were some great finch species including crimson (blood) finches, black throated finches, blue faced parrot finches, star finches, painted firetails, tri-coloured parrot finches, plum headeded finches, melba finches, silver billed munias, lots of siskins, blue caps, red cheeked corden bleus and several mutations such as pied corden bleus, pied red faced parrot finches, a varierty of mutation Zebra finches and variegated gouldian finches. As always with QFS sales, the birds welfare is of top priority with strict guidelines around cage sizes, design and number of birds per cage. Most of the birds had been paired up and displayed in auction boxes which are small disposble travel boxes that reduce the stress on the birds.
