The sounds of a Cane Toad calling in northern Australia. Cane Toad calls are primarily deep, long, rolling croaks. These low-pitched sounds are far-carrying and can often be heard from a significant distance. Unfortunetely, this call is now a common sound in many parts of tropical Australia where they are a pest species. • The Cane Toad (Rhinella marina), [also known as Bufo marinus ] is the world’s largest species of toad. Cane Toads are native to South and Central America, but have also been introduced to Australia and a number of islands in the Pacific Caribbean where they cause significant ecological damage. • • More examples of wildlife sounds and bird calls can be found on my website https://wildambience.com/wildlife-sou... • All of the sounds featured on this channel were recorded on location by Wild Ambience.
