The Mercedes S-Class is unarguably the most popular car within the chauffeur car industry - and now there’s some changes for 2018 - lets take a look. • The exterior changes for 2018 are subtle - an extra eyebrow in the headlamps and a wider, more aggressive grille are obvious, AMG Line styling offer more chrome and a wider stance. • There’s more changes under the bonnet. Mercedes has said goodbye to the V6 diesel. Instead we now have a 3.0 inline 6 cylinder, which is narrower, meaning there's more room under the bonnet for electrical systems like the 48v system and turbo booster. • This vehicle is fitted with the rear seat luxury pack which turns the traditional bench seat into two individual seats. Pressing a single button moves forward the front passenger seat and a full 37 degree recline gives a superb customer experience. However, when in this mode, the driver is unable to see out of the left hand side of the vehicle. • An additional problem of the £5000 rear seat option is you do lose some boot space because of the reclining seats - but just over 500 litres provides adequate space for a good amount of cases. • So, costing just under £75,500 on the road, the S350L is certainly in line with its competitors price wise, although an Audi A8 would offer all-wheel drive as standard for a few thousand pounds less. • The new S-Class is hard to fault as its effortless ride, handling, economy and overall image is no doubt the perfect solution for a chauffeur company - but as other luxury manufacturers offer almost identical packages - it’s worth doing some serious homework into your client base. • #mercedes #sclass #chauffeur
