Definitely one of the most beautiful places to visit in India. • About Pangong Lake in Leh Ladakh - Pangong Lake is one of the most famous brackish lakes in Asia. This high grassland lake is situated at the height of 4250 meters in the Changthang region of eastern Ladakh. You can reach Pangong Lake by AIR. You can easily get flights from Srinagar and New Delhi to Leh. From there, you can rent a taxi with a driver to reach Pangong Lake. It is a 5 hour drive from Leh city, and draws an average of 1000 tourists everyday. • Pangong Lake is believed to be 300 feet deep, and prominent Bollywood Films like 3 Idiots and Jab Tak hai Jaan were filmed here. • Best time to Visit Pangong Lake, Leh Ladakh: May - October is deemed as the best time to visit the lake. However, tourists also visit in April and colder months.
