Things to do on the Great Ocean Road Australia Day 3

Join Ruby and Lilly on their Big Adventure travelling along the Great Ocean Road Australia. • Day 3 - Princetown to Hopetoun Falls 52mins ( 54km ) • Today we headed into the Otway National Park to go on an adventure to find one of the beautiful waterfalls hidden in this magnificent Park. We chose to explore the Hopetoun Falls, taking a relaxing walk down the walkway, along the stream til we reached the breathtaking waterfall. It was so beautiful we decided to have a little picnic before continuing our journey. • Hopetoun Falls to Californian Redwood Forest - 3mins ( 1.3km ) • Just a short drive and we arrived at the magnificent Californian Redwood Forest. The trees were huge! reaching up to create a stunning canopy above us. We ran though the trees, climbed over logs and discovered a crystal clear stream. We enjoyed sitting by the stream spotting the fish and crayfish swimming by. • Californian Redwood Forest to Aireys Inlet - 1hr 48mins ( 99km ) • Along our journey towards home we stopped in a lovely town called Aireys Inlet. Here we discovered the Split point Light house know to many as the home of Linda, Pete and Bronson Twist from the 1989 TV series Round the Twist. We took a tour of the lighthouse learning all about the history behind the lighthouse, the significance of the flags used, how the light works and how it has evolved over the years. • A quick play at the park nearby and we were back on the road for our long trip home.
