However, by default, the light bars on the DualSense are set at the highest level, which may too much for some users. Thankfully, Sony makes it easy to change the brightness level of the light bar. The only caveat is that while you can turn the brightness level of the PS5 DualSense controller light bar down, you can't turn it off. • Now let's walk through the steps to change the brightness level of the PS5 DualSense controller light bar. • Step 1. Click the Settings icon on your PS5 home screen, and then click Accessories in the menu that's displayed. The Accessories screen is shown. • Step 2. Choose Controllers in the menu on the left side of the screen. Controller options are displayed on the right side of the screen. • Step 3. Highlight Brightness of Controller Indicators and then press X. A menu is displayed with options to make the PS5 light bar either bright, medium, or dim. Bright is selected by default. • Step 4. Choose your new PS5 light bar brightness level. In this example I'll choose Dim. Your change will be applied automatically.
