Just in time for the holidays I wanted to share this recipe for a German delicacy • known as a Stollen, it kind of a fruit cake but more bread like, just perfect with a cup of tea or coffee! • ****Thanks for watching and as usual don't forget to support my small channel by liking, subscribing, sharing and leaving a kind comment is always a super kind thing! • DIY marzipan recipe: • Homemade Marzipan | Almond Paste • Ingredients for two medium-sized stollen logs • --------------- • 500g A.P. flour • 45g fresh yeast • 150ml whole milk • 100g sugar • 5g salt • 225g unsalted butter • 150g sultanas/raisins • 100g candied orange and lemon peel • 1/2 vanilla bean (optional) • 1 shot of rum/brandy • 100g chopped almonds • 90g marzipan • 2 tbsp of soft butter + 50g icing sugar for decoration.
