The detailing bay makes such a difference when working on the paint of the Honda S2000. Using all the car cleaning products to bring the paint back. The paint now has a high gloss due to all the swirls and light scratches being removed by the Dual Action polisher. • • This S2000 gets a much needed exterior decontamination wash with multiple stages from Rinse, pre wash, snow foam and contact wash before moving into the detailing bay for a full clay bar and machine polish. The final stage is a wax sealant to really bring out the gloss and give the paint hydrophobic properties. • The process starts with cleaning the wheels before a rinse down with water to remove any large, loose contamination off the surface, this is then followed by a prewash which helps lift away more grime that is holding onto the paintwork. The next step is snow foam and this is to further soften and pull away anything gripping onto the clear coat. • Once this is rinsed off, it is now time for the contact wash with the car shampoo. Using the two bucket method to reduce the chances of reintroducing unwanted debris onto the car, the S2K gets covered, working from the roof downwards. Once the car is dried off, the car gets hit with the full clay bar session in the detailing bay to remove absolutely loads of contamination that is still in the paint. This step absolutely transforms the way the paint feels. Changing from sandpaper to glossy and smooth. • The final cleaning step is the Dual Action or DA polisher that, combined with a cutting compound, removes light surface scratches and brings back the top coat to look like it was freshly painted. Now, the final part is the protection. First and most importantly is the Wax sealant that gets massaged into to every painted area on the car. This gives the car a deeper gloss effect but also provides a hydrophobic layer on top of the paint to protect it.
