. • Ellen Davis is a senior studying Communication at UC Davis. As a board member for We Are Aggie Pride, Ellen has become very interested in the world of philanthropy and hopes to pursue a career in fundraising. We Are Aggie Pride (WAAP) is a student run philanthropy on the UC Davis campus that raises money for students in emergency need of financial aid. Ellen is also involved with the Rotaract Club at UC Davis, which focuses on community service and professional development. Additionally, she loves to bake in her free time; there is a rule in her apartment to always have baked goods available. Ellen particularly enjoys British themed pubs and eating Fish and Chips; if she could visit anywhere in the world, she would go back to London first. • This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
