This video is to engage K-12 students by providing interesting facts about the Passamaquoddy Native American Tribe. Teachers can incorporate this video into existing lesson plans. • The Algonquin World • The Maine Wabanaki Tribes (Passamaquoddy, Micmac, Maliseet, Abanaki, and Penobscot) speak an Algonquin dialect. • The Algonquin-speaking world streatched from the Great Lakes to modern day Nova Scotia Canada. Therefore, the Wabanaki Tribes share a common ancestry. • These Maine Tribes are collectively called Wabanaki or the children of the light or dawn . • • The target audience is Maine K-12 students. The objectives are five historical facts about the Passamaquoddy Native American Tribe. Presented to pique curiosity about the Passamaquoddy Tribal culture and history.
