Today I'll show you how to make ensaymada soft and fluffly using the tangzhong method. This recipe can also be used to make soft cheese rolls with cheese filling. This definitely takes me back to so much childhood memories and goldilocks moments. :) • Shopping List: • Water Roux: (slow cook in low heat and keep stirring till it forms a paste then let cool, set aside) • 1/4 cup all purpose flour • 1/2 cup water • Dough: • 2 + 1/4 cup all purpose flour • 1/4 cup white granulated sugar • 2 tsp. intant yeast • 1/2 cup whole milk (I use Full Fat Carton Milk from Lacnor or Almarai - available in UAE/GCC) • Water Roux (as above) • 1 large egg - beaten • 50 grams unsalted butter (I use Lurpak) - softened to room temp and added gradually into the dough mixture • Set aside some white sugar and cheddar cheese for ensaymada topping or filling for cheese rolls. • I find that Eden cheese or quick melt cheese works best as a filling for the cheese rolls and Kraft or Bega Cheese taste best in my opinion for the grated cheese ensaymada topping. • Bake at 180 degrees celsius for 12-15 minutes depending on your oven's power. • Follow me on Instagram for more recipes like this, quick reference recipes, daily droolsome videos on IG stories and also so we can be friends! :) • INSTA:   / missmarie_delicatessen   • Thank you for watching.
