Our schedules were coordinated so I could pick the boys up at lunch and drop them at the sitter if I had a full day or for 3 days a week be their substitute Mr. Mom. • One of our assignments was to go grocery shopping at Dewey's grocery store in Isle on Mille Lacs Lake. While I talked with the butcher about hamburger and bacon, Jimmy's job was to gather all of the Campbell's soup, pizza and pop into the little wagon. Jonny went in search of animal crackers, rice crispies and ice creme treats. • Mom's Rule No 1 was to make sure they got the exact brand and size from the samples we were given. • Rule No 2 Hoops in the driveway only after riding the lawnmower. • Rule No 3 Fishing at sunset only after homework. • Simpler times.
