At the EAO congress in Lisbon, Dr. Algirdas Puišys (Vilnius, Lithuania) discussed appropriate planning and innovative techniques for implant placement together with colleagues at the Industry Satellite Symposium by Straumann. He presented the “Decompression Technique”, which describes implant placement with guided bone regeneration, simultaneous soft tissue thickening and submerged 2 mm healing abutment.
