F.E Trimbach was established in 1626 by Jean Trimbach. Frederic Emile Trimbach took the winery to a new level and in 1898, entered the wine in a wine fair in Brussels and won. This brought great notoriety to the winery. • The winery is centered around Ribeauville and produces 95,000 cases of wine per year. They own 45 hectares and have another 6 hectares under contract. 30% of their vineyards are Grand Cru vineyards and 50% of their land is planted with Riesling. • They make 2 very famous wines which I like to call Super Alsatians being Clos St. Hune (with grapes from the Grand Cru vineyard of Rosaker) and Cuvee Frederic Emile (with grapes from the Grand Cru vineyards of Geisburg and Ostenburg) • Run by Hubert Trimbach and his brother Bernard (11th generation). Bernard has 2 sons: Jean and Pierre (12th generation) who assist with marketing. Pierre's daughter (13th generation) is also involved with marketing the winery while Jean's son, Julien will become the winemaker eventually. • Trimbach produces around 3500 cases of this wine. • For more information about this wine, please visit their website at https://www.trimbach.fr/ • #wines #winereview #winereviews #trophywinehunter #winelover #alsacewwines #riesling #trimbach #whitewines #winevideo #winetasting #wineeducation
