TRANSSOLAR: Thomas Lechner (Fachhochschule Kaiserslautern). • Prof. Dr-Ing. Thomas Lechner received a Masters degree in Physics from the Technical University of Darmstadt in 1988. From 1988-1993, he was researching and developing high temperature phase change materials and storage systems at the Institute for Thermodynamics and Thermal Engineering at the University of Stuttgart, where he received his PhD in mechanical engineering.
