Humankind Review Why Its Amazing AND Disappointing

This is a completely new strategy game series which aims to assume the throne after Civilization. But the question remains; is it good enough to even be a pretender? There's enough here for us to dig deep into, and that's why I decided to make a review of this game. • Humankind is a strategy game in the traditional 4X genre, meaning that even though it is indeed a strategy game, it's fairly close to the Civilization series, but very far removed from the Total War or Paradox games (Crusader Kings II, Europa Universalis 4, Stellaris, Hearts of Iron 4, Victoria 3). I personally prefer the latter two strategy series, but I really do feel like Humankind has managed to innovate enough that this genre has become exciting again. Even there's a lot of great things to say, Humankind is not perfect. But honestly, I'm just happy Civilization finally has some real competition. Here's to a great and inspirational strategy game future!
