June 21, 2023 was the Solstice, start of summer in the Northern Hemisphere and start of winter in the southern. • This absolutely stunning video was created by Simon Proud (@simon_sat on Twitter), showing how the Sun appears to move through the year. It is made using 365 pictures, all taken at 6am on each day over the past year and uses EUMESAT weather satellite data. • The video depicts how Earth's tilt changes throughout the year, causing days to lengthen and shorten from north to south as the planet orbits the sun - from solstice of June 2022 to solstice of June 2023. • Source: Simon Proud / NCEO / EUMETSAT • Please subscribe to the #YouTube Channel for more on science, history nature. • Website: https://www.360onhistory.com • Twitter: / 360onhistory // • Instagram: / 360onhistory // • Facebook: / 360onhistory // • Reddit: / 360onhistory • You can subscribe to our audio podcast on • Apple Podcasts: (https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast...) // Google:https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0... • Stitcher: https://www.stitcher.com/show/360-on-... • Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3QMbqUu... • Amazon Music: https://music.amazon.co.uk/podcasts/1... and others.
