If compression is normal, and engine starts but stops shortly after, check for: • Improper choke operation • Carburetor incorrectly adjusted • Intake pipe leaking • Improper ignition timing (faulty ignition coil or ignition pulse generator) • Crankcase leaking or fuel contaminated • 5. If engine does not fire at all, check for a wet plug, check for: • Flooded carburetor or engine • -Damaged starter valve seat • Clogged air cleaner • 6.
