Hunting in New York will look a little different this fall. All hunting licenses and carcass tags will now be printed on plain paper. This is a good change as hunters will be able to receive a copy of their license and tags via email and print them at home for immediate access. Lost or damaged tags can be printed again at home as needed. • With this change, hunters must take new precautions to protect their license and tags so that they remain intact and visible. Fortunately, protecting the paper is as simple as a reusable waterproof case or bag. Reusable sandwich bags or zip-top ID holders work really well. • Don’t forget to report your harvest!
