Changes in GST Rate 2022 and its impacts - Must watch! • In its 47th meeting, GST Council unanimously decided to go for a rate hike on several daily essential items. This will be applicable from July 18th, 2022. The prices of a few daily essential items such as curd, lassi, rice and others are expected to increase. • Also, on a few items mentioned below- • For pre-packed products - 5% increase • Bank cheques - 18%, • Hotel rooms- 12% for hotels that charge under 1000rs per day • Lamps, knives, pumps machines moved from 12 to 18%.
